I’ve been silent all this time. lost in the moment. caught up in every slam, every hit, every surprise. taking on the chin, just like i’ve taken every other thing in my life. because good boys, good little soldiers, we never complain do we? what would be the point when we’ve been raised to believe that no one will listen or care? so we swallow the pain. we silence our voices. and sometimes we can live with that silence. sometimes. until the silence becomes something else. until it deforms us and makes up monsters.
